This vst is crazy the amount of control over samples and the way they can be tweeked is awesome . This is certainly going to keep me very busy playing about with all the controls and finding something to use with my tracks .

Powerhouse wavetable and granular synth plug-in: four oscillators, filter and modulation

Powerhouse: a wavetable and granular synth for Ableton Live

Powerhouse is a wavetable and granular synth plug-in made by Lessons in Live: four oscillators, one powerful filter, modulation you drag onto any knob, an arpeggiator, a chord sequencer and nine effects.

  • Four wavetable oscillators with eight tables (from basic shapes to vocal, FM, sync, resonant and spectral sounds): sweep through each table, warp the waveform (bend, sync, mirror, pulse, FM) and stack up to 7 unison voices for huge, wide sounds.
  • Granular mode on every oscillator: the table turns into a cloud of grains, with size, density, spray and random pitch, for breathing pads and shimmering textures.
  • One powerful filter for all oscillators: low cut, high cut, band pass, notch, peak and two tuned combs, with four characters: Clean, Ladder (Moog-style), Acid (303-style squelch) and Vintage (warm and singing). FAT and DRIVE for extra weight.
  • Modulation you drag onto any knob: four LFOs, a mod envelope, velocity, key, random, mod wheel, aftertouch and MPE pressure and slide. Drag on a knob’s ring to set the depth, as in Serum.
  • Eight macros for Live’s automation and MIDI mapping; the factory presets come with theirs named and wired.

Powerhouse arpeggiator with a 16-step pattern

  • Arpeggiator with eight modes, up to 4 octaves, latch and a 16-step pattern (notes, rests, ties and chords, each with its own velocity, octave and length), and a 16-step sequencer with a chord on every step, in key and scale, with dice that roll new patterns.
  • Nine effects (crush, drive, chorus, delay, reverb, stutter, flanger, reverse, grain) and an XY pad that plays many knobs with one gesture. Locked to Live’s tempo.
  • Poly, Mono and Legato with glide, MPE (Push 3, Seaboard, LinnStrument), a resizable window.
  • 160 presets in Bass, Leads, Chords, Pads, Arps, Sequences, Textures and Effects, with favourites.
