Driftwood – Chicago House

The sound of the warehouse: 175 Chicago house presets for Driftwood.

• 35 basses: solid, rubber, organ, FM and 303-style acid lines.
• 35 chords: happy and soulful 7ths and 9ths, M1-style organs, pianos and stabs; one key plays the whole chord.
• 35 pads: warm strings, Juno pads and organs.
• 35 leads: square and saw leads, whistles, acid and Detroit lines.
• 35 effects: risers, downlifters, sub drops, sirens and other DJ tools.

Requires Driftwood 1.0.4 or newer.

Version 1.1

The basses now play one note at a time, and the acid lines, rolling basses and leads slide like a 303 (Legato glide: overlap notes to slide). To update, download the pack again and install it in Driftwood (gear › Install Preset Pack…): it replaces the old version.

How to install the pack

1. Make sure you have Driftwood 1.0.4 or newer.
2. Download the .dwpack file.
3. In Driftwood, click the gear › Install Preset Pack… and choose the file, or simply drag the .dwpack file onto the Driftwood window.
4. Open the preset menu: the pack is at the bottom, under PRESET PACKS.

Works the same on Mac and Windows. You only install a pack once; it’s then available in every Driftwood you open.
