Level Me! Your recorded DJ sets, perfectly leveled
Level Me! is a desktop app by Lessons in Live for DJs. Drop in a recorded DJ set and it rides the volume through the whole recording so every track plays at the same level, without touching the breakdowns. Then it writes a new file in exactly the same format.
- Every track at the same level. Recorded a set where some records came in quieter or louder? Level Me! listens through the whole recording and rides the fader for you, the way you’d automate the volume in Ableton, but in seconds.
- Breakdowns stay breakdowns. It’s not normalizing and not a compressor: Level Me! tells a breakdown from a quieter record, so the dynamics inside each track stay as they are.
- Leveling, not loudness. Quiet records come up only as far as their peaks allow; a safety limiter catches the rest and barely works. Nothing goes over the ceiling.
- Same file, leveled. WAV, AIFF or FLAC in; the same format out: same sample rate, same bit depth (16, 24 or 32-bit float), same metadata.
- Fade in, fade out. Two knobs give your set a smooth start and end, right where the music starts and stops. No DAW needed.
- Cut the start and end. Drag the edges to keep only your set (or let Level Me! find where the music starts and ends), then level just that part. No DAW needed.
- See and hear it. A waveform with the loudness of every track before and after and the fader ride, a before/after view, A/B playback and a mastering-style output meter.
- Fast. A two-hour set is measured in a few seconds and written in under ten.
- Your way. English and Spanish, three looks (wood, light, dark).
